Update, May 10 2022

The sun has stuck around for a few days. This should help for those who want to get into their gardens and fields. Or for those who are less cranky if it is overcast and blah. Like me. Here’s hoping that we get a good balance of rain and sun. And that the basement stays dry, like it is right now.

Congregational vote on May 22, 2022 : After service Sunday May 22, there will be a quick vote to approve a bid for repainting the St Matthias buildings. Council is in favor of the bid, but cannot make the decision because of its amount. This work is good maintenance and stewardship of the buildings. Please plan to attend the May 22 worship and stay for a few minutes after.

Thank you to all those who attended the conversation after church on May 8, 2022. The care and thoughts were genuine and show deep concern and honesty for St Matthias and its missions. Please keep the church in your prayers, and look for more times of conversation.

Graduation season is here! Among the many institutions which are holding Graduation Exercises, Graduation Day for United Lutheran Seminary is May 20, 2022. Please hold all students everywhere in your prayers as we enter into a new part of our life.

Prayer cards are in the back of the church, where you pick up your liturgy booklets. We pray for : Christian , all those who serve in the military, and all first responders. We lift in prayer all teachers, students, and educators as the school year draws to a close. May their work bear good fruit. We pray for : Pam, Betty Lou, Mark, Pat, Seth, DJ, Margaret, George, Arleen, Greg, Ruth, Darryl, Billie, Dave, Tim and Lisa. We ask for fair weather for planting in fields, gardens, and orchards. All this and whatever is needed we lift before God, trusting in His care and mercy. Be well, children of God. AMEN.
