Well, it isn’t the same as writing out a check, but I did write the correct year on this update. After the last 6 months of 2021, I am looking forward to the blessings God has in store for us in the coming year. For me those blessings include your love and support during this internship. I thank God for your help in this journey.
By now you may have seen the first installments of “Coffee With the Vicar” and what will become a “vespers” event on Sunday or Monday. Maybe a poem, just a thought for the week. These short videos will be shared both here, and on the St Matthias Facebook page. These are coming to you live from my apartment in downtown Carlisle. Low tech, simple, just a couple of thoughts. Don’t be surprised if one of the cats decides he needs to do a cameo at some point.
In response to a recent update I received word from Mary Sherman, a former member. She appreciated the news from St Matthias. Mary shared that her son Scott is in need of prayer. He will be added to the list.
Prayer list : Christian and all those serving in the military, and as first responders. We pray for Pam, Betty Lou, Pat, Seth, Margaret, DJ, George, Arleen, Greg, Ruth, Darryl, Billie, Dave, Tim and Lisa, Scott, Evan and Hillary. We ask God’s care for all those attending the Synod’s Winter Fest gathering in Lancaster this weekend. May they come to a better understanding of their faith at the event. All these things and those known only to God we lift to God’s care, grace, and mercy. Be well, children of God. Peace.
