Happy Reformation! If you weren’t able to worship with us in-person on Sunday, here are some photos to enjoy. Our organist, Marleen, celebrated her last Sunday with us and we presented her with a handmade prayer shawl and a flower and sent her with a prayer and many blessings. We are so grateful for the talents she brought to St. Matthias and she will be greatly missed — but she will always be a part of our church family and a beloved sibling in Christ. She has mentioned that she’ll be glad to fill in when needed, so we look forward to welcoming her back in the future!
We also hosted our first forum since the pandemic and were pleased to welcome Vickie and Donnie to talk about social justice issues and their experience in working with those in need and with organizing local and regional marches for justice-related issues.
We had technical difficulties this week with the video and aren’t able to post a link to it, but you may listen to the gospel reading and sermon below:
Wishing you many blessings this week and always,
Vicar MJ
